Breast Augmentation Surgery at Este North Clinic
Breast augmentation surgery is a surgical procedure performed with saline or silicone gel implants used to add volume to the breast. This surgery is preferred to increase self-confidence and to correct body proportions.
Who is Breast Augmentation Surgery Suitable for?
The right candidates for breast augmentation surgery at Este North Clinic are as follows:
- People whose breasts are small according to body proportion.
- Those who feel insecure when wearing swimwear or top-fitting clothes.
- Those whose hip width is structurally too large.
- Those whose breasts have shrunk or sagged after birth.
- Those whose breasts shrink more than necessary as a result of weight loss.
- Those with one breast visibly smaller than the other.
But most importantly, people who have realistic expectations for the results of surgery and who do not have health problems are suitable candidates for this surgery.
Where are breast implants placed?
The pocket where the breast implants will be placed is determined according to the body anatomy of the person and the measurements of Este North Clinic. These implants are usually placed in the following areas:
- Under the pectoral muscle (between the breast tissue and the rib cage).
- Under the breast tissue, above the pectoral muscle.
As a result, breast implants are placed appropriately according to the person’s needs and body structure.
Silicone Gel Implant Types
The silicone gel implants used at Este North Clinic come in different types:
- Kohesiv 1TM: Standard, soft, cohesive gel implant type. It is available in round types with roughness.
- Kohesiv 2TM: Slightly harder gel consistency, in the form of a roughened round implant.
- Kohesiv 3TM: The gel with the most binding structure provides the necessary strength and density for aesthetic results.
Este North Clinic selects implant types suitable for each body type by taking special measurements.
Where does the breast implant scar remain?
Breast implants are placed through a 3 to 5 cm incision from the nipple or the edge of the coloured part of the breast if the nipple is wide enough. If the nipple is not wide enough, a 3 to 5 cm incision can be made in the armpit. For round implants only, the armpit can be chosen as a third incision site.
Recovery after breast implant surgery
Breast augmentation surgery is usually performed under general anaesthesia and may require 1 night hospitalisation. Drains are used to ensure rapid recovery after surgery and are removed within a few days.
You can return to work one week after surgery, but heavy lifting and sports should be avoided. A sports bra with a shaper print is worn for one month and return to sports can begin at the end of the 1st month.
