Who is Hair Transplant Suitable for?

Androgenic type hair loss (due to age, hormones and familial heredity), those who have bare areas in their hair or eyebrows after burns, those who have had hair transplantation before but were not satisfied, those who have partially balding areas after facelift surgery, those who have partially balding areas due to some diseases and those who experience female pattern hair loss are suitable candidates for hair transplantation.

How Long Should I Take Time Off Work After Hair Transplant?

The best time for hair transplantation and the process afterwards is usually 1 week. We recommend you to take 1 week off from your workplace if possible. However, we know that some patients return to work after 2 days. Others prefer to take 2 weeks off. This period may vary from patient to patient and from job to job. In the first days after hair transplantation, remember that your scalp will be red, you will take regular medications and you will constantly apply various solutions to the area.

How Long Does Hair Transplantation Take?

Hair transplantation usually takes between 3 and 5 hours. After the procedure, you may need it for about 15 days if you want this procedure to be unknown in the work and social environment. However, if you do not have such a concern, some patients can return to their daily lives within 2 days.

What Should Be Considered Before Hair Transplantation?

Avoid herbal supplements that may increase bleeding such as aspirin, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, fish oil, garlic pills, ginger, saw palmetto, vitamin E 1 week before surgery. Do not consume alcohol 1 night before surgery. On the morning of the transplant day, wash your hair and have a healthy breakfast and go to the clinic.

Is hair transplantation a painful procedure, how to reduce pain?

“Today, pain and soreness are not felt during hair transplantation. For most patients, it may come as a surprise that they feel much less pain than they expected. In addition to physical pain during hair transplantation, psychological factors can also increase pain and disturb the person. Therefore, it is important for patients to prepare psychologically for the operation. For this purpose, patients can be relaxed with detailed information and medications given before the operation. In order to minimize pain during the procedure, the least invasive techniques should be preferred and the thinnest needles should be used. Anesthetic agents should be brought to body temperature when injected into the skin. Large areas can be worked on without bleeding by using the tumescent technique. The effect of the anesthetic is felt quickly, so patients can easily watch TV, play on their phones or sleep during the operation!
